Mount Elgon is a massive extinct volcano straddling the Kenya-Uganda border, rising to over 4,300m. The coffee-growing zones between 1,600–2,200 MASL benefit from rich ancient volcanic loam soil, dense forest cover, and cool rainforest conditions that slow cherry maturation and build exceptional cup complexity. The estate's signature sealed-tank CO₂ anaerobic fermentation — a 72-hour closed fermentation process — produces the tropical fruit and blackberry complexity that earned AFCA 2026 recognition.
