Mount Kenya, Africa's second-highest peak, creates the ideal terroir for world-class washed Arabica. The volcanic red soils, equatorial sunshine, and dual-rainy seasons across the slopes of Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Embu, and Kiambu produce the crisp, juicy cups that have made Kenya synonymous with premium specialty coffee globally. Waziri Coffee sources directly from growers in Kirinyaga's Gakuyu-ini and Kerugoya sub-areas, Nyeri's Karindundu, and Kiambu's Kiganjo.

Gakuyu-ini & Kerugoya

Two distinct sub-areas within Kirinyaga. Gakuyu-ini produces bright, clean phosphoric acidity with full silky body. Kerugoya at higher elevations delivers bold, wine-forward lots with intense blackcurrant and plum character.

Karindundu

Nyeri is widely regarded as Kenya's finest coffee sub-region. Crisp hibiscus and pomegranate notes, jammy blackcurrant finish, and bright phosphoric acidity. The Karindundu grower cultivates SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian at the highest altitudes in our Mt. Kenya portfolio.

Kiganjo

Located on the eastern Aberdare Range slopes near Nairobi, Kiambu produces bold and winey washed Arabica. The Kiganjo grower delivers a currant-forward, lively cup with characteristic bright acidity and strong specialty value.
